There’s real recycling and then there’s the wannabes, or worse, the pretenders or the green washers. The recent World Food Day, October 16th, has me talking turkey about a company that’s truly clean and green, Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap, a leader and legend in organic health and beauty standards.
Other soaps without standards are loaded with sulfates and phthalates known to be part of the carcinogen buffet, and as for the anti-bacterials they have triclosan. Triclosan is being reviewed by the FDA for possibly causing infertility, early puberty and a host of other hormone related problems. What??!!
On the clean hand Dr. Bronner’s has graced health food stores for generations. You’ve seen them before, the bottles and bars of soap printed with hopeful words from the Psalms to Kanye West. Their Peppermint soap is famous the world over and now there are 7 other scents with essential oils for variations of aromatherapy. Each scent is certified organic and Fair Trade, and Dr. Bronner’s also champions food justice. You've heard of GMOs, and Dr. Bronner's is in the top tier of noGMO leadership (again) to keep organic food, well, organic, instead of drenched in pesticides, herbicides and 2,4D for GMO or genetically modified/engineered crops. They’ve got it nailed. See for yourself at www.drbronner.com or www.justlabelit.org and while you’re at it https://en.wikipedia.org for Fair Trade.
The Bronner’s base is castile soap made from olive oil, and there’s new oils added like jojoba and hemp oil that are most close to the oils of your skin. Even the packaging is true. It’s all post consumer plastic not the wannabe pre-recycle and they’ve established a zero waste manufacturing code of ethics. All scents are also effective at cleaning more than your body, but the Tea Tree oil is seriously great for cleaning. It erases the scent trails of ants! It’s also lethal for aphids in your garden, but not your plants. All you need is a quart pump bottle and 1 tablespoon of Tea Tree soap for cleaning everything from your car to your bathroom.
I know you've heard it said that cleanliness is next to Godliness. How 'bout truth and trust?
